too many old pinned threads

I feel there are too many old pinned threads on SDF. They are cluttering the forum, making it less readable. Too much scrolling involved. Do threads that have not seen a single post added in the last 6 months or even last 12 months need to remain pinned?

Or at least move/link them over to some old best hit/fav/memorial/archive section of the forum if people "don't" want to lose some thread for nostalgic reason

I agree. There should be an "Archive forum" with no posting allowed for old threads.

We did a clean up end of July and pinned/unpinned a bunch of threads. There are some forum rule threads that are pinned but we felt those are still needed.

Well the old threads will slowly move towards back of the pages as people no longer comment on them. I'm not sure what an "archive forum" would achieve.
