There is a video in the link above..however it is not working for me. Maybe it will play for other members.

The 2026 Spring Festival travel rush commenced on Monday, marking the start of a 40-day period where a massive movement of people is expected across China. Transport hubs in Shijiazhuang, the capital of Hebei province, reported robust passenger flows on the first day.

Shijiazhuang's railway stations handled 151,000 passenger trips on the first day of the travel season, according to Shijiazhuang Railway Station. It's forecast that the city's 11 stations will serve around 5.75 million trips throughout the period, which will last until March 13.

To manage the surge, 74 additional pairs of trains have been scheduled at Shijiazhuang Railway Station. Major destinations include Beijing, Xi'an in Shaanxi province, and Wuhan in Hubei province.

Multiple service upgrades have been implemented to improve the travel experience. These include setting up priority channels for passengers checking in late, launching a service zone with dedicated areas for key passengers like the elderly and children, and introducing shared wheelchairs for barrier-free access throughout the station.

Another video in the link above. This one works fine for me!

China's 2026 Spring Festival travel rush, or chunyun, has already started. With the longest holiday on record, airports are fully prepared for the travel boom. Airlines, airports and air traffic controllers are in full sync — adding capacity, streamlining check-ins, and keeping hubs running smoothly. Even at bustling Beijing Capital Airport, international travelers can now glide through as easily as domestic passengers. Click the video to learn more.

Embarking on the patrol journey at dawn, they trek more than nine kilometers every day to clear ice in seven railway tunnels. The arduous chipping, shoveling and transporting of large ice chucks means the technicians are totally burned out after a day of work.

During the Chinese New Year, the team will stay on duty to ensure the safe operation of train services. Through their efforts, thousands more who have been working far from their hometowns for almost a year will be able to ride the train and return home safe and sound. Every year during the Spring Festival travel season, there are always some who must remain at their posts so that others can reunite with family. For railway workers ensuring the safety of the railway system, a peaceful and joyous Spring Festival carries significant responsibility.

Li Yanzheng is a ground service mechanic at the Chongqing North EMU Depot under the China Railway Chengdu Group Co., Ltd. Her husband Yang Jun is a passenger train inspector at the same depot. This "couple team" has worked side by side on the front lines of the Spring Festival travel rush for five consecutive years.

During the busy travel period, Li and Yang stick to their respective posts, ensuring the safe operation of passenger trains at the station.
