Has anyone seen or heard anything about the series Soldier's Sortie? Its a Chinese television show on a poor farmer's son that joins the PLA. I've watched 6 episodes already on youtube, its a very good series!

i think hawkforce spelled it wrong, its suppose to be soldiers story i think. i cant understand the plot all that well because my mandarin is a bit rusty. but love how they exhibit some new chinese technoloy in the main battle scene with the "drug lords". not quite hollywood standard but getting there.

it's 士兵突击 in mandarin (which roughly translates into solders charge... i think).

突击 is sudden strike, AKA surprise strike. Sortie works.....I guess.

Many of the equipment used are fake in order to add drama to the series, but it is the relationship between the soliders that's really moving!
