In the US the United States Armed Forces are in the headlines in the handling and the continuing problem of Sexual Assault within the armed forces.

I was wondering what are the protocols and statistics of sexual assaults in the Chinese armed forces?

I think in the PLA, men and women don't serve together. I'm sure sexual favors and pressures abound behind the scenes, however.

I think Chinese society give women far more and better protection from unwanted sexual advances than most other societies. There is certainly a lot less social tolerance of sexual advances on women than in most western societies.

In China, even overly enthusiastic courting of women is frown upon, and sexual crimes are usually only carried out by lone wolf types, there is certainly no real culture of boasting about one's sexual conquests let alone sexual assaults. Things like the Big Red College football team sexual assaults and guys getting together to laugh and joke around about it would simply not happen in mainstream Chinese society.

Not being able to keep it in your pants is seen as a sign of moral weakness or corruption in China, and even in honest courtship, Chinese men tend to be quite careful and reserved because there are real and big social costs to being labeled as a pervert. So, activity that might earn you a high five and kudos in the west could make you a social reject in China.

That culture of respect for women is strictly enforced in institutions like schools, universities and the military and the virtue of women are strictly protected in China. The ugly side of that is that women who are seen as having lost their virtue can be treated pretty badly by society and even their own families. That is why most mainland Chinese women remain virgins until they marry.

i don't think sexual assault between same ranking of office/soliders will happen, but that won't be true for higher rank officer vs their junior counterpart.
there are many case where senior offical advance toward their junior counterpart. also the words "2nd nang" is pretty common. if some corrupt PLA officer felt they are the boss, and like someone work under them, then they could make their moves. if the victim refuse, its easier for the senior officer to fire them or give them bad recommandation etc etc.

While what you describe does happen, I wouldn't really class that as sexual assault, but rather sexual exploitation, and sadly, it happens everywhere and is almost commonplace in most countries and societies.

However, it should be noted that women are not always the victims or even the passive party in such 'arrangements', and many a successful woman started their careers or boosted their careers by exploiting their sexual appeal. I think the main distinction between such arrangements and outright sexual assault is that there is some level of consent by the woman to become a mistress or sexual partner, and the women usually derive some benefit from the deal, be it financial, career advancement or social elevation or something else.

I think these kinds of arrangements are somewhat beyond the scope of what this thread was about, so I did not think to consider them when I made my original post.

As infrequent as these incidents maybe in China I'm still curious as to what the actual protocols are to deal with these matters.

Dude, you need to pay more attention to the culture in China. The opposite is happening. It's very hard to find virgins in big cities nowadays.
