Russia to field new AK

Covered this in the Russian military news thread. The AK12, system developed by Kalashnikov Arms the successor to Izmash. AK12 at its heart or rather its bolt and piston still a Kalashnikov with long stroke piston operation the changes are mostly the receiver, tunion and furniture adopting features found in foreign AK derivatives and other assault rifles. As such I don't think its really worthy of its own thread.

1st, this is the Chinese Military Forum. News about Russian military equipment does not belong here.

2nd. We have a Russian Military News Thread in the World Military Forum. We do not need a new thread for every piece of news. SD member Terran_Empire already posted this in the Russian Military News Thread.
