Questions about pistol mechanism

Hey there. This is a reeeeeaaaallllyyyy stupid question, but I knew not where to turn.

Okay, question 1:

Is it possible to Cock a P08 Luger?

2:

Is it possible to cock a C96 Mauser?

For those who do not know, by Cock I mean pulling back the hammer/striking mechanisim. I ask because the Hammer/Striking mechanisim is very unusual compared to a traditional semi-auto or revolver style mechanisim.

I think you can cock a C96, but a luger I am not sure of, which is why I ask you guys. I apologize if this sounds useless and stupid, but I dont know where to turn.

On the Luger the only way to cock the striker is to pull back on the toggel mechanism. The Mauser C96 has an exposed hammer that can be cocked just like a revolver.
