Still thousands of Pakistanis are enlisted in Saudi armed forces and also of UAE. These are contract soldiers from Pak military. Pakistani ex-general Raheel Sharif is the current chief of that military coalition formed by MBS in 2015. And while UAE and KSA were clashing in Yemen, UAE's royal president was "chilling" in his hunting grounds in Pakistan.
Whole setup sounds eerily similar to the Arab Abbasi Caliphate who hired foreign Turks to be in charge of their military, until.. the Caliphs became mere puppets of the Turks.
Oh yes I know, I personally know some families whose members are in Saudia right now too, The military members /enlisting has been going on for decades at this point. Lots of retired folk serving as advisors and other positions. Yeah the UAE president came for 1 day, went to his hunting ground n went back, short visit.
