I don't know much about the North's order of battle, but I do know for sure that they REALLY don't like Americans, and that it has recently reached a peak, now that they have been included in the 'Axis of Evil,' and now they feel like they are being backed in a corner when it comes to their nuke program. Which, they practically are because a so called 'Nuclear North Korea' is probably the biggest threat to the peace and security of the Asian peninsula, IMO.
And, I just heard the guy on the news saying that the North won't rule out a pre-emptive strike on the South Korean 'war games' that are supposedly to take place later this week, or next week, not exactly sure what the local guy said because I just overheard it while on the comp. I would suppose that these so called 'war games' would be a South Korean/American jointly held military exercise, and I know that it is probably just -more- of the North's saber rattling, but if their were to be another accidental missile launch (or something similar, or worse
) during this excercise, it would definately cause -more- tension in the Korean Peninsula.
But what if there was some sort of small attack, or missile launch on the DPRK/U.S. forces or on the civilian population god forbid. That would leave the DPRK/U.S. forces to either respond, and risk all out war?
I just think that this -could- be significant, because for the North to make threats like this could be a sign of the Northern government's paranoia of anything involving U.S./DPRK anything. This is all while the U.S. is still waiting for a response on their 'removed fuel rods' that could be used to make Plutonium, and the Iranians' recent stern stance with their nuke program, I think could give the North a reason to also be stern and make threats, which will put the U.S.(and everyone else involved) in a weird position.
What do others think of recent occurances?
