Reshaped nose for the doppler radar, suppose to carry two torpedoes under its wings.

Very intresting..I check that web site and the pics with great intrest..

Yummmmm....Is that aircraft pictured on the website susposed to be operational? If it is it is one of the cleanest aircraft I have ever seen. I can attest to that from my 20 years of working on USN aircraft of various types. No way is that aircraft operational. Airplanes get dirty. Even the ground is spotless... That is not normal..clean maybe but not spotless...Something is amiss....

Yes ... that's what I always thougt ! But then the other Q-5B appeared and looks much more realistic as a naval version !!

So what are both types and which is the real "B" ???

Thanks, Deino

I am not sure, Q-5B never saw service due to the introduction of the C801 missile, the above photo was the one in Beijing's aviation museum, and I think that it might be the only one built.

Yes I know that, but if You compare both Q-5B called aircraft this one has a very strange nose - similar to a MiG-27 at best - and the other has a higher cockpit and a radar similar to the Sea Harrier FRS. 2 or the French Super Etendard !

So what's this "strage" Q-5 ????

Cheers, Deino
