Guanqi made a good point: if China demonstrated the ability to take out 3 battalions hiding in mountains in a day you will see representatives from Russia and Ukraine in Beijing fist fighting at the airport to make sure them and only them get to buy that capability.

Still, the Weibo post, if real, indicates that the PLA was engaged in fighting. They would be pretty significant.
As said before, the rumours were debunked. And if such fighting took place, US would have made huge big red public PR headlines about "China Threat" , "warcrimes", killing "children and civilians" etc
So imo, no chance it's real.
