Lest we forget...

Today is the seventh anniversary of the terrible tragedy that occurred on the 11th of September 2001. Over 3000 Americans died that day, the worst attack on American soil since Pearl Harbor. They were Mothers, Fathers, Brothers, Sisters and even children. All just going about there daily lives. Also the heroes of that day were the Firemen and Police men and women and the average citizen who did all that they could to help and save there fellow Americans. Many of which lost there own lives to save others.

I just thought I would make this little thread to remind all of us that in one day you can see the worst things that our fellow man are capable of, but in the worst of times it can and did bring out the best in all of us. And thats why I support our troops 100% for both their service to our beutiful country, and the sacrifices that many have made doing so, and believe me that they know what they are fighting for:

I know I'll never forget that day. At the time it seemd somewhat like a bad dream. I remember sitting on my patio in San Diego and telling myself that the whole thing was REAL.

Rest in Peace to all of those that died that day.

I remember my father saying that a civilian airplane had crashed into the Towers when it started. I had a feeling that something else was up, though. I also "knew" that both of them were going to come crashing down.

I spare a thought for those people who WEREN'T there at work on that day. Some must hate themselves for being glad they survived.

When the first plane crashed into the WTO tower, in my country it was night time. I was watching a TV program when a slide bar info said that an aircraft crashed into the WTO tower, at first I thought it was an accident. And when the slide bar said that the second aircraft also crashed into the WTO I realized that something unusual had happened. I woke up my parents for the news. We hardly went asleep that night. May the souls of those victims stay in peace.

I was actually in my morning class in high school, when someone come in and told us to turn on the TV, because an aircraft had crashed into the World Trade Center. By the time, when we got our TV working, the second aircraft had already crashed into the other tower.

It was a sad moment, when you get to watch people jumping out of the burning buildings...
