How much do we know about the J-35/A's hard-tube refueling technology? I've seen new photos showing a hard-tube refueling port on the fuselage, similar to those on American fighter jets.
Addendum: This remains speculation at present, with no evidence to support it.

I can't be certain at all, but I've seen many military enthusiasts speculate that this might be a rigid refueling probe.
All most certainly not this is a photo of the naval variant so a flying boom receptical would go against the typical configuration for naval IFR like buddy refueling and such. It's probably an antenna or optical system of some description.

I am a big fan of Bill Sweetman's writings and analysis. I still remember when FC-31 first came out, he wrote that the FC-31 was what the F-35 should have been. The right-hand side pictures even better.


Me too but does anyone remember his or this report? I wasn't able to find it (even if I must admit I only searched briefly)!

Both the J-35 and J-35A have probes for refuelling, so this negates the possibility of a boom-type refueling port. You can see the probe covers in the photos below.
