Iran has started to build the Igla missile series under the name Misagh-2. Also, there are reports that Iran may have already acquired the first Tor-M1 battery, but I can't as of right now confirm this. Here are some pictures of the Misagh-2 production line:

Does anyone know how many they are gonna produce? Will the igla will be at a greater advantage when used in the terrain of Iran compared to Iraq? But i am assuming it would be more dangerous when used in hilly or mountainous terrain then flat deserts esp against helicopters. Also i am assuming they can upgrade it easily to the DJIGIT system that is able to launch two missiles against one target.

From the 5 pic they seem to have a large amount already. Just a thought this missles can be easily transferred to militia groups in Iraq and Lebonan. I am suprised i have not heard the US make a greater fuzz to the Russias as like it did with Syrian purchase of iglas stating it would upset regional balance.

Heres some info and videos Ahho but sorry cannot answer ur question.

Just wondering, how does this missile compare to stiger and other type

It may not be as advanced as the Stinger series, but it is definetely a huge threat to low flying aircaft. In other words, it is a pretty advanced system.

The Igla is supposed to be at par with the FIM 92. Anyway the misagh 1 was responsible for the downing of an apache near baghdad somthing like " weeks ago. The missile went straight on the target and the chopper hadn't even the time to "fart". It went down in flames, if you wan't i can provide you a video.

Please don't post the video link here on this forum. If you really want it, have someone PM to you.

US will use mostly cruise missiles & high altitude stealth bombers if there's any action against the nuclear facilities. Don't think short range SAM will be useful.

I correct myself, it may have some use against slower, low flying cruise missiles, if they can be detected.
