Does this need a separate thread for a bunch of reddit trolls?
In addition to my previous reply to you, I think giving the proper and accurate definition of what "Chinese" is, is extremely important as well, especially for people that are ignorant or foreign to such topics.

Playing with these semantics or intentionally messing them up is one of the most common tactics used by sinophobic people from my own observations, they do this when they know they have no legitimate arguments which is most of the time.

I think the reason why mods gave a warning was because after a certain point you move the conversation to the dms instead of it keeping on the threads so that other conversations can be discussed as well.

Thanks for the explanation.

But it doesn't help when some people in that thread cannot help themselves but to start throwing personal insult towards me for no good reason when we are having differing opinions about Russia (I personally still feel animosity towards them due to their past crimes and involvement in the century of humiliation and current day borders eating into our lands, which I think is more than reasonable. While some commentors are more pragmatic about the relations with Russia. But the worst of all are the ones who are there to glaze Russia for absolutely no reason and turn combative when you don't agree).

Having differing opinions is fine, but personal insults and harassment because you cannot contribute to the conversation in a meaningful manner is not. And the mod instead of confronting some of the commenters there who started to insult me and make fun of my username (what a primary school level bullying!), he decided to give the warning to me instead and threaten to mute me.

Imagine how I feel?? You can even see one of the joker there who participated in the personal insults against me on that thread followed my account just to harass me again on this current thread. I think this is a very pathetic behaviour, and the people involved should be ashamed of themselves.

I am very disappointed in everyone here except for @FriedButter and @resistance who are very reasonable and rational people that treated me with basic respect even if our opinions might not be completely the same.

Tang dynasty for instance, is a dynasty that is one of the most ethnically diverse and vibrant period in Chinese history
Tang dynasty was essentially a continuation of the Xianbei ruled state of Northern Wei. The majority of the most powerful and influential noble/military families of the Tang were mixed Xianbei-Han noble families from Northern Wei. The first Tang emperor himself was half Xianbei, and belonged to one of the eight great noble families of Northern Wei. His mother was a Northern Wei princess whom was actually the sister in law of both the first Sui emperor as well as the last emperor of Northern Zhou (successor to Northern Wei). Northern Wei -> Northern Zhou -> Sui -> Tang was essentially just a series of internal coups carried out by different generals from among Northern Wei's Xianbei-Han military aristocracy.
