The technology might seem far-fetched or even impausable, but several experements have proven it was possible to 'jack in' to the nervous system of another animal and do certan things such as controll the nervous system and see what the animal sees. However, most experements in the former were made with Cockroaches.

The possibilities are obvious. Cockroach Cyborgs were proposed to be able to be used for things from Covert monitoring to finding earthquake accident victims. But currently, I do not know the status of the project.

Now I dont say this is a definate project in the future, but the technology was proven possible. It may be under scrutiny by various organizations for how humane it is to it's use as a possible 'Big Brother' covert monitoring system. It is even questioned wether the technology could be used on human agents, or even unsuspecting citizens...Creepy.

Well...this project seems pretty far off. However, because I just saw the movie of which the pic came from, I might as well explain the origions. The basic ideal behind the movie character "Jones" (The dolphine) is that during a futuristic war, the U.S. navy attacked captured dolphines with active sonar and data relay system. Provided with a powerpack, the dolphines would go on with their lives while the sonar maps the surrounding area. (There is little a sub can do agunist active sonar) Having recorded this data, the dolphine would then surface due to the fact that it is a mammmel and the data rellay would trasmit the information to some kind of command post. With the dawn of micro-technology, this may actually be possible. Imagine, an army of sonar bouyes that move throughout the ocean in unpreditable patterns with absolutely no way of disabling it. So yea....might be possible....
