Hi everyone !
I'm from PRC (guess somebody already knew me ^_^...), also Chinese military fans.

Glad to visit SinoDefence forum here, I have a little question: Could i creat a new thread to share personal collection of PLA pics in the World Military Picture board ?

I have thousands of interesting & hot PLA weapons and equipment pics including PLA Army/PLAN/PLAAF, wanna share them in one thread, All these pics and photos from China's internal network。

Yes i see there'r already many PLA equipment threads by type/class/name in different boards, but still i wanna apply for the chance to creat a new thread shared my collection pics in the World Military Picture board. I wanna share many PLA roadside photos/leaked pics/CGI/peripherals etc... so i think it's better to share them in one PLA military pic thread. ;)
Ths~!

BTW i (mpleio) ever contributed thousands of PLA pics in MillitaryPicture.net and mates like them, untill oneday someguy kicked me out(ban my account, maybe due to a bad thread in OFF TOPIC board). Hehe ...

P.S this account was created before i tryed to post in the MP.net.

I'm not sure why, but the forum here always lowers the quality photos by either tens of sometimes hundreds of KB, depending on the size of the original file. eg, the larger the file, the greater the amount of KB reduced, the smaller the the file, the smaller the amount of KB reduced.

I wouldn't mind if you made a thread here to share your images, but I would prefer if you eventually returned to MillitaryPhotos.net and posted your images there. A few lost KB here and there might not matter to some other members here, and it would certainly make things more convenient for me to have a one stop shop for my PLA related photo viewing, (Till now, I've been going back and forth between MP.net and here.). But in the interest of image quality, I would prefer the guys at MP.net unban you, or for you to create a new account and continue posting there.

I did not know that. I've posted thousands of photos in this forum and I don't think the quality suffers.

By the way for larger images right click on the photo you wish to view and select "view image"..or in the case of USN photos just select download Hi-Res.

Dear kyanges, u don't know i never back to MilitaryPhotos.net again !!! :(
Because they (maybe some moderator) not only ban my account there but also throw my IP address into the blacklist, it means i can't login the account and do not register new account in MillitaryPhotos.net.
For myself, it also means someone do not welcome me and not wanna me back to MillitaryPhoto.net.(Although i know how to use VPN server to access the forum or using a fake IP address, but no sense !) Ironically they did that but didn't give me a reasonable reason why delete mpleio:
M37sT.jpg

Maybe the main reason is a bad thread i ever posted in the OFF TOPIC&HUMOR board of MP.net. Well i thought this should be not a big deal, but somebody too seriously. In that thread i quote a China 05.12-news that a British man tried to rape Chinese woman in China Beijing street (scandal news well-known in whole China), and now u can find the video in Youtube. Then the trouble coming immediately, my account was banned in 10 minutes ....... OK i screwed up !

I had been in there to see many mad threads about scandal news happened in different countries and they all fine, but this time they delet the thread ASAP and mpleio got banned.

Anyway the bias and the CHICOM called by other ppl made me feel angry, MP.net hurt my heart i do not plan to back again. If could, i wanna continue my interesting PLA pics in Sino-defence forum.

Ths all !

It seems everytime i click the "Reply to thread", it works like "Reply to former post" ... i'm confused !

Re: HELP,i have a problem

Never figured out what auto post is.

Just make sure that your total of pictures posted in two post is more than 15. If not the forum will automatically cobmine your post. There's a 15 photo limit per post.

At first the drop in quality won't be very noticeable since the point of JPEGs is to cheat a little, fudging the pixels a bit to make the file size smaller, at the expense of things like color accuracy and clarity. So it's a lossy format, as opposed to something like a PNG, which is billed as a "lossless" format, meaning it doesn't sacrifice color or sharpness for file size. Because it's designed as sort of a cheat, just how much data is lost won't become immediately apparent unless JPEG is saved at a really tiny file size.

Here on the forum, uploaded images of any size usually drops by about half the original KB.

For example this image:
Please, Log in or Register to view URLs content!

is 244.62 KB.

But I saved the same image from another forum, and it was 421KB.

For a JPEG image, which is a "lossy" format, being only half the file size is a big deal.
