These sorts of things rarely happen in India, another nation with a huge population and even greater density. How come? It's not an issue of sanitation or hygiene that's for sure. I'm going to guess it's because most Indians do not consume much meat. This latest virus has been blamed on consumption of some wild animals. Ebola spread due to consumption of bush meat. If I recall, SARS is a subtype of this coronavirus and many Chinese people are already pointing fingers at some in Wuhan who consumed wild possum or another animal. Government authorities need to seriously look into creating some laws about this even if we ignored the risks, it's still poor behaviour from a small group of people who insist on dining on wild and "exotic" animals. Southerners are particularly bad but most still prefer seafood which is standard and mostly ocean sources so wild by default.
