I think they are networking GJ-11 with J-20S in the near term. There is also a FH series drone for air to air operation shown in Zhuhai 2022. That one does have internal bay and radar.

I hope the future CCA will be like the Dark Sword of 2006. Well, although we don't know what the Chinese equivalent will be.

Anduril fury drone is air to air warfare drone with speed of Mach 0.95, +9/-3 g limit and with 2 weapon stations for air to air missiles. Its maiden flight is expected to be in this Summer.

China has so many UCAV designs that it is very hard to guess which drone will PLAAF select for Air to Air, or if they prefer multi-role UCAV capable of air to air as well as strike.

But that still seems to be a capability that US has that China does not. The main advantage of a fighter jet drone is to be able to get close and act as forward sensors so that manned fighters in the back can launch their missiles.
One option might be to use older J-6, J-7 as drones after sufficient modication. These are supersonic platforms that are relatively cheap.
They're not LO, and as such would have little survivability in the modern battlespace.
They are supposed to sacrifice themselves to get close with speed and allow the manned fighters to launch missiles. They can get away with not having stealth.
How? They don’t even have radars.
Why would you believe that a subsonic drone can get anywhere with speed? As I said before, It's only a stopgap measure, you need to wait until the gen2 cca program to get anything useful.
Just because China does not disclose certain capabilities does not mean that China doesn’t have them.You can be assured that CCAs are an integral part of J-36’s combat philosophy.
I'm looking forward to seeing some surprises at the military parade on September 3rd, just like what happened in 2019 with the gongji-11 and the wuzhen-8.
