Does it look like it could be a swept-wing or just photo artifacts?

Yes, that mockup definitely have swept-wings.

But if you mean variable swept wing (like those found on the F-14 and Tu-22M), then there is no way to be sure at present (though I think the case of variable swept wing to be unlikely).

Posted here as a more appropriate thread.

Looks like two GJ-11 ... but something is fishy?!!

PS: in fact spotted at a so far unknown base:

"Not far from the Zhonghua Shipyard on Changxing Island, a facility that looked like a drone base appeared. On a black parking pad, there were also two green GJ-11 like mockups. There was no runway , but were wide taxiways and apron-like areas on the ground."

Now with the wings of the GJ-11 mockups folded. Also seen are the clearer markings of the supposed parking positions for the GJ-11 on the 076's flight deck.

Compared to the previous photograph, the two mockups are seen parked one after the other, with the front one likely parked at the EMCAT launch position, with markings likely representing a jet blast deflector (JBD) seperating it and the mockup behind.

An interesting concept. A mother plane carries two UCAVs integrated into the trailing edges of the main wings.

Some of which makes me wonder what's going on with China's own program

Atwood’s comment here is particularly interesting in light of the almost total disappearance of U.S. military UCAV concepts, at least publicly, despite significant progress in their development during the 2000s and early 2010s. This was the subject of

to appear on The War Zone.

“So we swung the pendulum over to the

, the Kratos product, and that was a little too small,” he continued. “In the middle of that, we’ve kind of honed in on this size class. It is more utilitarian. And I think the challenge has been finding the right balance of cost, survivability, and mission system capability … The challenge was a system level optimization of all of those attributes, but it took six years [for the Air Force] to find that optimum point.”

So as someone that skipped out of PLA stuff for many years, I've wondered why something like GJ-11 still appears to be as hard to spot as the legendary"big foot" after this many years. Is it just a matter of GJ-11 being really important program that not more info have come out? With J-20A and J-20S going through testing right now, you would think pairing them up with wingman is something they'd want to do as part of developing tactics and such.

Is it possible that they've evaluated something like GJ-11 for a while and have decided that the future warfare required something larger or more stealthy? Is it a case where they are waiting on certain engine or subsystem to be ready before going further into it?

It could be a WS-15 situation where some requirements were met midway through development, so they now have an even higher requirement than previously set.
