Hello! I'm new here so if I missed this info in any searches, I apologize. Since I was a teen, (early '70s; I was always a B-29 fan) I was fascinated with the USSR's Tu-4 program & its various tangents & developments. Of particular interest is the Chinese Tu-4, especially the turboprop versions. First, does anyone have any performance numbers with the turboprops? Were any of the conversions used as 'operational' bombers, or just as test-type a/c for the AWACS & drone launcher? Did they have specific Chinese designations (IIRC, the AWACS was a KJ-something) or were they just
