Are the firetrucks cleaning the plane or are the waterjets for ceremonial purposes?
A Y-20 escorted by a pair of J-20s.
Allegedly an image showing a Y-20B (in yellow primer) in Tibet for high-altitude flight tests.
That perspective is confusing... it makes the yellow one look comically bigger and longer compared to the grey one.Allegedly an image showing a Y-20B (in yellow primer) in Tibet for high-altitude flight tests.

Having that crane in the rear is a huge improvement over anything on the C17 wrt remote airfield loading and unloading.that actually point out one of the major criticism I have about Y20 , that the ramp design isn't made with offloading cargo in remote air fields in mind. Y20 has a crane at the top of the tail , and sure it also has a ramp that can be installed , but compared to the C17 ramp it will take much longer , hopefully it is something that will be addressed in future modifications.

Indeed. Once high altitude testing is done I think they can start trial use going forward.
Real question is can older Y-20s receive engine update.
