Just in case I misunderstod the date: so January 5. and/or 6. will be the date for the roll-out ??

haven't finished the video, but with my ragtag mandarin, it's about appreciating 2 people (scientist?) in the development of first indigenous heavy transport aircraft
and he did specifically mentioned about a roll out at 5th or 6th in Xian

they were talking about AVIC has two of its engineers newly elected to CHina Academy of Engineering.
The first scientists/engineer he talked about was from Xian, He was the cheif engineer on JH-7A program. a structures guy.
now he is the chief engineer on the "large transport".
and yes he talked about a roll out on Jan 5/6th 2012 at Xian. it is the biggest airplane china has built to date.
If this thing gets out the hangar there will be pictures.

Unless I read it incorrectly on CJDB they said it would be on the 8th or 9th.
They will not show you the picture and video first.. After successful first test flight ot whatever, then maybe more info and video will show up. China military is always very precaution. They do not want themselves to have any embarassment if any crash or mishap happens.
