I have to say that this surprised me a little bit. The weapon purchases from Venezuela just continues. Interesting that they are not ordering Y-9 or something, but I guess those are not ready yet. China did make some changes for the new batch of Y-8C that they inducted recently, so Venezuela is probably getting those.

this is a disturbing form of exploitation between states, you give them money for oil, use the oil for industrial production, and then sell these products to the oil producer to get the money back.:roll:

But oil and resources are not the only things consumed in industrial production. Lots of people sweat to produce these airplanes!

i guess when nation fight it benifit the chinese more than anything

My question is, is anybody sure this is an actual Chinese Il-78? I mean, the pines and the concrete runway means it could be China, but that is a long way from confirmation that it is in China and that it is a Chinese bird.

I'm surprised that it is called STOL when it looks like any twin-engine turboprop. It's nowhere near Boeing's YC-14.
