The so-called Changjiang-1000, if there was no PS.

Just give me some help: CJ-1000 is for the C919 and not for the Y-20 and both engines are not related to each other ??

Deino:confused:

Military name called WS-20 and Civilian version call CJ-1000? Military do not need higher standard like noise pollution reduction. So it might enter service relative faster than civiliann version.

how? it has to be a very very advance UAV that is not technologically feasible today... airdropping cargo like the Berlin airlift etc requires more than just piloting the aircraft. You need the loadmaster, the other folks that needs to unsecure the ropes prep the containers etc, open the ramp door and make sure it falls properly and all that. What if something gets caught or something goes wrong? How would you mitigate that if no one is on board?
It would not be possible to do it w/o humans inside doing the offloading and airdropping.

hmmm...

i once saw a show about testing a crash landing of big plane such as 737 or something... so I'm sure big transport flying remotely is feasible. but you were right that to drop supply one will need crew... but designing such unmanned transport with automatic airdrop system would be feasible.

the problem i see is that the possible range to control such unmanned transport, maybe with some predestined autopilot route ? so it fly on autopilot during mission, the human pilot just control during take off and landing (using a device such as radio control)?

WS-20 and CJ-1000 are different engines. The former is based on the core from WS-10, and its civilian version was suppose to be SF-A. However, COMAC set their sight high and doesn't see SF-A to be competitive enough, so a new project was started which is the CJ-1000A. The CJ-1000A only exists as papers at this point, so what you see in the picture is definitely the WS-20.
