Armyrecognition is BS by default. All these ChatGPT written stuff, you know...Not sure where and how they get those figures or should we just consider this as BS?

Its so cute when Americans cope with UCAVs when China has dominance in UCAVs
They seem to downplay significance of chinese aircrafts. They stick to the plot "unmanned hellscape" (many doubts about the significance) for china
The balloon was at 60k ft and required F22 up close with nearby tanker support to hit, 30 km is 90k ftIf that is correct, it will put it outside the envelop of most American AAM and SAM, including THAAD.
Might also explain why all the new planes have TVC despite China in the past dissing it.The balloon was at 60k ft and required F22 up close with nearby tanker support to hit, 30 km is 90k ft
If you want to become invunerable to SAM and have infinity kill ratio against all existing aircraft going to 30km is one way to do it.
CAC paraded it above a city of 20M with a J-20 in tow, its practically a ceremony with a banner that says "next gen fighter", and I'm pretty sure there was a banner at the CAC event that says "next gen fighter".A large aircraft like this being a bomber is still within the realm of their perception of air combat, whereas an aircraft of such dimension being an air superiority fighter represents a shift of paradigm that takes them out of their comfort zone. I attribute this to a lack of imagination.
to put it simply, if this were just a bomber, Americans can always say "well we already have B-2/21". If it were a fighter, then you are going to wonder what kind of new technology and ideas are being incorporated? how does this change air combat? lots of unknowns in there.
the simplest way to rebuke the idea of this being a bomber is that if PLAAF wanted a bomber they would have asked Xi'an.
I cannot wait until H20 comes out in its full glory and next National Day perhaps flown with the CACGAD/SHENGAD in attendance like a giant spacemothership/flotilla darkening the sky above Tiananmen Square before the crowds. Before Dec 26 I believed that China would have played "follow the leader" USA again with the NGAD -a good "pacing peer competitor" (bet they'll never use this faintly insulting phrase again)-now so wonderfully different-a true revolution in Chinese military affairs.CAC paraded it above a city of 20M with a J-20 in tow, its practically a ceremony with a banner that says "next gen fighter", and I'm pretty sure there was a banner at the CAC event that says "next gen fighter".
Its actually pretty interesting that Americans are oblivious to obvious but indirect cultural details
I never understood this comment.... do they really think they can out do China, the leader in drone technology, in.... drones? Or do they not think that China is not interested in using drones as well??

60K ft is pretty close the max service ceiling for a F22. If a Chad can really fly at 30KM (I personally think that is a wildly salute-the-flag guess). A Wedge Tail 737 service ceiling is less than 15 kms, so it would also lose track of a high-flying-fast-moving CHAD once it flies into its top blind-spot, which I think gets bigger the higher up in altitude you go. My point is that if a plane really can cruise supersonic at 30km, it becomes a problem for both detection and defend against. Especially over wide open ocean where land based radars can help you.The balloon was at 60k ft and required F22 up close with nearby tanker support to hit, 30 km is 90k ft
Maybe that balloon was a test to see how difficult it is to shoot down something at this altitude. It's barely doable with a ballon it can't be done with a high speed fighter. The balloon was at 60k ft and required F22 up close with nearby tanker support to hit, 30 km is 90k ft
