Seems like the targeting pod is integrated into the edge of the chine from that new side image

Look at the flaps. There are no visible hinges and the flaps look like they're flexing. Compliant control surfaces?

Well, the first two J-20 demonstrators were just the numbers 2002 & 2002 … the first true prototype was no. 2011!
So just a huge „maybe“!?

I was curious about the presence of a twin-seat J-20S stealth fighter, which acted as a chase aircraft during the maiden flight while the J-36 is not in yellow primer.

Confucius say… Treat American like Reagan did to Soviet Union. Make them spend money to catch-up and they go bankrupt.

He says it didn’t look like it was going to be maneuverable unless they’re going to have TVC. Doesn’t the NGAD have the same problem? I haven’t read if it we’re going to have it or not.

It looks like it does though. Otherwise there would not be gaps in the panels where the 3 exhaust nozzles are. It's just hard to see the actuators or they are covered / seamless

Very nice photo and... Doesn't it show the TVC being activated? Could be just me but gaps between the engines look significantly larger/deeper than on other photos.

There's a small triangle between the most faraway nozzle and the middle nozzle, indicating it moved.

The exhausts seems to me to resemble that of YF-23, recessed so cannot be seen bottom view.

I remember this is a company advertising its avionic subsystem, which happens to use a 6gen layout.

I think @by78 was right, there's visible gaps at the back of the aircraft between the engines, so 2D TVC is still not out of the question.

On a side note, 36011... why not JH-360?
