Typical...These are the kinds of guns you find when a rebel force has been cut off from outside aid and thrown back on its heels. Look at what the IRA turned in when they supposedly turened in the last of their weapons. They had M-1 Garands and stuff.

The Chechens have a good amount of weaponry with them. They have a small number of shoulder launched SAM's but they have managed to bring down quite a few Russian helicopters with those. Above that, they do get support from various groups like Hizbul-ul-Mujahid (Kashmiri group) and from private Saudi donors. They aren't exactly cut off from the rest of the world because the Checyan cause is quite popular in the Arab world.

Yes Crazy, I'm beginning to see it now. Those guns are probably just random pieces of crap that the Russians put on display to try to prove what I wrote earlier; that the Chechens are close to defeat and can't even get any good guns. Obviously that is not true.

The Chechnyans really don't have a need for weapons that look like they have been buried in the ground for fifteen years or so. Even though, just a little bit of oil on the barrels of those SKS and AK-74's and they'll shoot just fine. But the thing about the Chechnyans is, is that some of they're militant organizatinal groups are probably some of the most organized and successful insurgent/terrorist groups in the world, especially when it comes to success in combat. I have seen pictures, videos and have read articles about some of thier handywork. The way these guys go about waging war on you, is very quick, devastating and unforgiving. They are some very ruthless guys, let me tell you. I have heard of them all too, Al-Qaeda, Taliban, Jaish Al-Mujahaideen, Hamas, Liberators of Palestine, IRA... The list goes on, and I know about all of them because the internet and WMP provides plenty of opportunity for one to see thier handywork almost first-hand. I can tell you, that from what I have seen of the Chechnyans they are in a class all thier own.

Okay... I'm done going off topic now... :D

Well, these are some of the weapons I could see:

Double Barrled Shotgun, probably italian in origin. Either that or an elephant gun.

PPSh41 or a forigen copy (I dont think I have ever seen an all metal design with a pistol-grip. If anyone knows for sure what sort of weapon it is, then thanks.)

AS 'Val' Silenced Assault Rifle

M3A1 'Grease Gun'

AKM-S Rifles

Sketchin APS(?)

Those are all I identify for now. If anyone knows the others (Especialy the Bullpup rifle and the two Bolt Action rifles) I would really like to know. The bullpup looks familiar, but I cant recall the model.

Do you think you could post some links to these videos? But nothing too graphic.

I found one. Showing a Chechen IED.

Nothing overtly graphic, unless explosions scare you.

Just put 'Chechen' in YouTube. You will find a ton of stuff.

I will also post one, but only one because I am not looking to cause any trouble with the mods or anything.

If you really want to see how the Chechnyans operate, you can go to

and skim through the archives, or just type in chechnya or chechen in the search engine. There's plenty of stuff there.

But I gotta warn you, just about everything on that site is extremely graphic, because war and terrorism, and beheadings (yes I said beheadings) are all the main topics of discussion on the site. So you may want to be careful on what you click on ;)

Anyway, back to the subject at hand. The Chechnyans are able to obtain APCs and IFVs etc. I don't think that they have a need for those bolt actions or any of those other guns, because why use them when you can just use the brand new AK-74 you just picked up off of a dead ruskie?
