This thread needs to be blended with some other thread; I'm sure this topic has been discussed hundreds of times already.
As for your question, by invasion, no. The odds are stacked very heavily against China in any invasion scenario.
But a blockade gives China a much better chance. There's almost nothing Taiwan can do to fend off a blockade, and being an island, Taiwan is almost totally dependent on Middle Eastern oil imports for energy.

You are right this topic have been discussed and chewed to the bone million times now. Often it causes more of negative flame fightings and other unpleasant stuff than any reasonable and enlighten analyzes. So unfortunetly for the time being these type of threads are not viable. Perhaps in the future when time does its tricks, but not now.
