Can anyone ID this helicopter that was used in the antarctic rescue?

Seems to me it's one of the Kamov tandem rotor designs. I can't tell exactly which version it is though.

EDIT: According to these two sources, B-7817 is a Ka-32.

This is logical as the Ka-32 is the export version of the Ka-27. This is further reinforced by this

Wiki said it is a Ka-32 Snow Eagle.

Dig up a bit via Google and wiki, think that's a Ka-32A11BC, registration no. B-7817, delivered to China on last October, callsign "Xue Long 12", joined China's 30th Antarctic Expedition (this mission) on the 6th November 2013.

The tail number in the picture is a bit hard to read, but the last 2 digits is enough to make me start the digging.
