C-17 landing in Chengdu

I've got these picture from militaryphotos.net, the original post Captioned it

"USAAF C-17 transport plane landing ChengDu international airport ( fly to Afghanistan through China ?)"

i been searching google for such news or articles, but found none. anyone got some information about this??

It wouldn't surprise me if U.S. decide to hand over technologies to reduce its debt, after all after WW2, the british had to give U.S. everything because they were broke(i.e. jet propulsion, steam catapult etc.)

What surprise me is China allow U.S. to use one of its cities as a stopping point for Operations in Afghanistan.

Maybe it carries equipments, preparing for Joe Biden's upcoming visit to Sichuan, if my memory serves me right.

Here's the real story on those photos..They are from 2008 earthquake relief..

darn i got all hyped for nothing... its nice to see a good'ol C-17 landing in China though... at least for good will visits and stuff... ships shouldn't be the only instrument for that.
