It's only a matter of time until cleaning robots grow to the size of the dock themselves and become vastly more capable mobile and endurance wise. I'm already seeing the beginning of a general purpose cleaning robot from dreame here. The market is huge.
yes, I need to actually get one. Dreame robots look fantastic, but they actually all do.

Glenn was showing me his ecovacs window cleaner the other time. It was pretty good too.

Big problem with the current crop of vacuum robots is the difficulty of integrating the dock with a fill and drainage system. Laundry room lacks space, kitchen is not designed for it. Then you would also need this for all floors in your house.

The Ecovacs window cleaner is not great with edge detection since it relies on basically a bump sensor and optical encoder wheel. It has trouble with frameless glass and windows with shallow subframes

Where is the a robot that cleans the toilet? I suppose smart toilet can clean the inside of the bowl, but exterior and seat still has no solution.

Yeah, the tank system is not going away any time soon. That's why I'm advocating for larger all in one systems and ditch the dock entirely. Bigger robot that move over to a sink and self drain/refill for example.

Too big and they won't fit under or move around furniture
