well I don't see a real difference. The PLA one has the door being the ramp, the others have door and ramp. Besides, the PLA one is just a transport ship, not a landing assault ship.

Agreed. It's weird.

We do know the Type 07 series has several camo pattern, while the airborne's, navy's and marine's has little to no practical value other than service identification, the most used are the "universal" and "desert", which the latter is known utilized by troops operating in the Tibetan regions.

Assuming soldiers in the pictures came from the same outfit and it was taken in the last 12 months, the 2 columns and those sitting on top of the APCs are either those who trialing out the new pattern, or the new sets are handing out in batches, those who get new ones are either new relieves or as replacement to their old worn-out Type 07. In any case, short of official announcement, we know nothing for certain.

If you watch the 2015 V-Day parade, you can see all three of them. Different marching formations have different colors. If you check each formation's background and region of deployment, you will realize that the color match their region. In the parade, the yellowish one was wore by the first two troops from the north theatre command where terrain in autumn and spring is brown/yellow, the green was wore by the 3rd troop from the western theatre command (Chengdu region where it is green all year round). I suspect that the troops have more than one colored camo dresses to fit different seasons. For example, the troops in Tibet would have both green and yellowish, or even desert patterned dress as Tibet's terrain need all of them.

However I don't understand why soldiers in the same unit wearing different colors in the same time.

Just because they sit in one block doesn’t automatically make them one unit. It could easily be that a visiting unit is sitting with a local unit.

Alternatively, if they are the same unit, it could be that a random selection of the troopers were ordered to wear a different camo pattern and be the opfor for parts of the exercises.

The PLA one seems much simpler mechanically and most of the internals are well protected from possible external battle damage. The other two are larger so can take larger trucks/ pallets but mechanical parts are more complicated and seems more fragile IMO.

Mechanical designs are different, but I think they all have the two basic functions, 1st a ramp to unload cargos, 2nd a watertight door. The watertight function can be realized by either the door or the ramp. Which one is simpler, I don't know by just seeing the frontal view. However, I think the other two should be equally strong or even stronger as they have to take the load of heavy stuff from cars to IFV. The different purpose of the PLA one should be the main consideration of any difference if there is. The PLA one is not to assult the beahhead, but to resupply the troops on small islands.

possible.

All IFV crews are in yellowish dress. That maybe indicates that they are from another unit than the green. And the sitting ones are in their own column.

But then, unit is a not strict term. They may all belongs to the same brigade (unit), but different battalions (unit).
