Why are all these European countries convinced that China has a direct influence on Russian decision-making. They should stop projecting their relationship with the U.S. on the Sino-Russian relationship.

As for Macron's proposal who does he think he is fooling ? For China to take him seriously France would need to be a sovereign country (which it isn't). Besides Minsk agreements have shown how untrustworthy and manipulative Europeans are. Let them solve their own crises.

I honestly don't trust Macron at all. He is up to his ears deep in the US's shenanigans. Why would anyone trust Macron after the Minsk agreements?!

Macron, like any other EU leader, can't be trusted ... plus these EU clowns are all still foolishly hoping that China can somehow pressure Russia to agree to an unfavourable peace deal i.e. complete and unconditional surrender lol. ... and then be the next in line after West is done with Russia ... pure Macron nonsense.

To be fair, there’s 0 reason to trust Macron (or any of the European leaders) to deliver even if he made the fairest of offers. Heck, they might not even be there next year.

that Beijing has invited Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese to visit, likely to occur around October/November to mark the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
Oh well, it’s only the government issued phones any way, most likely to make uncle happy so they can get lost for awhile. As long as they dont do it to everything else, nothing of value is lost I mean what does government issued phones have to do with one’s personal life anyways. It is annoying that the USA has to meddle in other country businesses but then again, I guess China would understand that this is mostly a move that the USA pushed for to make it look like the USA is strong (they are not). At least hopefully this will keep the USA away from Australia for awhile (damn they are so annoying) as the reality could be a whole lot worse given that I can still use TikTok right now and really, how many would have a phone issued by the government anyway, clearly a none issue if one thinks about it. Regardless, if anything changes I’ll let everyone know how far this goes if it does. If there is one funny thing I realize, Dan Andrews (not perfect I know), could easily a different home based personal phone to enjoy his TikTok needs without a fuss and not need to report this to the news to get the other annoying people off his back and most of the other government officials could easily do the same so in reality, this bill ultimately accomplishes nothing and China can easily have an out to simply pretend to look annoyed while simply keeping things on the down low to avoid any further escalations while staying the focus to ditch the dollar anyway because that is the main thing that needs doing, not launching into a sanctions fit over something so minor and ultimately pointless as long as the ordinary people are not affected

A lot of racism and all other nonsense mixed in one long rant. Upset much? 4D chess player in Kremlin made a big geopolitical mistake and his "best army in the world" has been fighting 9 months to capture 56th largest city in Ukraine. lol.
why would Russia capture a city when it is serving purpose of human capital at one place? you forget obligatory Middle east when talking geopolitics.. finally it has to open embassy. with this interdependence and integration called Eurabia happens Finland will really find out that no one will come to its rescue. Italian is now feeling it how things get subverted and its economic weakness exposed.

It is all projection. They think that just because they are vassals themselves the Russians must also be Chinese vassal.

It's pretty amazing how fast things are moving, people like Saddam use to get invaded for making this sort of talk.
Muammar Gaddafi plan designed to provide the Francophone African Countries with an alternative to the French franc (CFA) was his downfall...he was alone tho.

Right now with multiple countries doing a move against US dollar at the same time, they cannot shot everyone...
Russian/Ukraine war sanctions made the seeds flourish all at the same time.

"France will resist US pressure to decouple"
What would that translate to though? Renegotiate the CAI?

Still regardless of the details such moves by EU key members to look out for themselves instead of bet on US will make Japan and South Korea nervous. I'm still betting if there's a country first jump out and stab US in the back it will be Japan.

CAI is dead and buried along with any remaining Chinese goodwill and hopes towards the EU. I think China now sees the EU as an American appendage, and as such will be proactively working to undermine and weaken it. So no more deals with the EU, instead China will strike bilateral deals with individual EU member states and leave it to the EU member states themselves to square the circle with the EU. If they can find a way, they reap the benefits of those deals, if not, they can blame the EU and turn their populations against the EU.
