"wolf warrior" diplomacy consisting of defending the UN rules and guarding small countries from being bullied by unilateral invasions and sanctions?
As opposed to American reichsadler diplomacy I guess, where the whole world is expected to submit under American wings of darkness and surrender all autonomy to apparatchiks in Washington that are blatant racists and nationalists. Surely letting such people rule the world that is mostly non-White and non-American wouldn't cause any disasters at all right?

Alibaba and Amazon are 商人 (traders) passing things and money from one hand to the other making no added values to the society. They are like lubricant of machine, necessary and even critical at some point but never the core and foundation, should never to be allowed to take the major chunk of resources and profit. Whenever they become too dominant, they should be cut into pieces, but we are not going to remove them.
BYD and CATL are making real things, they are the machines. They will be encouraged to be big, but on the condition that they don't suffocate the tech development, that is not being a patent bully to stop competitions.
In principle, there should be NO dominant power in industry, NOT even SOEs. The only dominant entity is the State, the country. Chinese businesses are only to be large to compete with foreign powers, but not to overshadow the state power. They are the tools of the state, not the owner and ruler of the state. If you study the Chinese history, you will realize that it is always like this. And this is the very reason that China remained an unified state for more than 2000 years.

I think you got it wrong.
Singapore needed US protection since our independence not because of threats from our kinsmen from China, but from those surrounding us.
Not realistic for tiny Singapore island, only 50 km wide, to survive a war with our hostile neighbors on its own.

Can't give you a specific example because this is a statistic conclusion that you have to go through the whole history. An attempt can be to count how many aristocrat families except the emperor in China have ever lasted powerful more than 3 generations. Then compare that to Europe's aristocrat families. In China, it is near zero, in Europe it is mostly.
Business empire/dynasty/conglomerate are just modern incarnation of aristocrats. The rule of the game remains.

One example is the rise and fall of E Ertai (鄂尔泰) and Zhang Tingyu (张廷玉) who both served the same three emperors of Qing. They were both capable but also with shortcomings. They even had good personal relationship with each other. But under Qianlong emperor, they were used by the emperor to balance each other's influence by promotion and demotion. At one point another powerful official Liu Tongxun (刘统勋) publicly proposed to restrict promotion of Zhang's relatives even though the individuals are as qualified as others. Chinese emperor will never allow any subordinates being dominant. Now replace emperor with CCP, you get the answer.

While I can understand and empathize with your concerns regarding Singapore's security and existence as a country, the fear that Indonesia, Malaysia or a combination of attack/invasions from those countries without other ASEAN countries, let alone China among others not coming to the rescue of your country is HIGHLY UNLIKELY especially if the said impending attack were to occur sometime in the future, not the immediate future. In that possible timeline, China is more than possibly the cemented power of the Asia-Pacific that able to assert itself into it's neighboring countries like Indonesia, and Malaysia not to even dare thinking that they can get away with impunity in trying to invade a sovereign country that's Singapore with a sizable Chinese ethnic group not to mention India will also probably react negatively since there's also a large contingency of Indians that are living in Singapore for centuries. I just don't see any path for Malaysia or Indonesia for that matter to allow their respective countries to succumb to such dumbassery and suicidal thoughts all for the glory of the Malay race and Islamic revival or some b.s. Unless the world is coming to an end, where international institutions have ceased to exist, and world powers are all entirely exhausted from their own exhaustive war of annihilation then sure that's a very distinct possibility, but the world is not there yet.
