Taiwanese news say US are spooked enough that they're telling Tsai they want to keep her visit really low profile. John Kirby told Tsai he hasn't arrived anyone official to see her while she's in US.
I don't trust either Taiwanse rumour nor US, so I think wait and see. Seen as we now have official PRC warning if Tsai see anyone official I'm expecting some level of response, although maybe not quite like 4th of August last year.
There is a new boss in the ME and Israel would do well to hop on that train. Now that the Arab world is reconciling with Iran and Syria, Israel is looking very isolated. And you can be sure that if Israel has any realistic ambitions about normalizing relations with the Arab countries it needs China's goodwill because Arab countries will 100% have to take China's interests and advice into consideration if such a major diplomatic initiative is pursued. So Israel needs to show goodwill towards China or risk isolation. An FTA would come a long way in that regard, it is win-win. Israel benefits from the huge Chinese market and Chinese influence over the Arab world and China erodes US influence further in the ME. China obviously also benefits from increased trade, for example Chinese EVs are particularly popular in Israel. So it's really a win-win situation for both.
