TikTok is on trial as U.S. authorities consider a ban. There's just one problem: it's not only an app for silly videos anymore, it is now entwined with our culture.

Who are they? The TikTok generation. You might think of them as tweens shaking their hips to a Megan Thee Stallion song. In actuality, more than 1 in 3 Americans are using the app.

Holy crap it is the Chinese rock and roll!

When is Xi Jinping gonna make a speech telling Brandon “Mr. Biden, tear down this border wall!”

The United States, one must remember, does not see countries and borders- it adopts a pre-Westphalian outlook of only looking at the world through a tribalistic lens. In this case, the United States considers itself as the embodiment of a white anglo supremacist West so it's natural that a sitting politician in power like crenshaw would look at Shou Zi Chew and equate him with the CPC since he is ethnically Chinese.
I am therefore of the belief that US hegemony must be destroyed in order for the american politicians to start behaving and acting in a more civilised manner: America Iter Delenda Est

This documentary on US Iraqi veterans should be a mandatory viewing for all Americans that are pro and anti war so that they can get a sense and meaning that a war against China and Russia would be a calamity of epic proportions that it'll make the Iraq War and current Ukraine War conflict look tame in comparison.

This doc made me emotional because you'll get a perspective and understanding from a humanitarian perspective.

Sorry to say this but having empathy for these soldiers is very hard for the harm they have done for others in the name of lies and so called career advancement. Whatever shame they feel right now is nothing compared to the lives they have ruined and destruction caused and ultimately they have to suffer the consequences for doing the unnatural. Really considering their activities, should they be surprised that most of the global south who have suffered under these non educated dogs of war, all feel that death to America is a growing mantra that may finally come true one day. Maybe this video should be a cautionary tale as to what happens when these kinds of invasion take place in the name of lies.
There is a reason way I feel that the likes of Madaline Albright that stupid little bit!h got of easy after uttering the phrase that the hundreds of thousand Iraqi Children that died is worth it. Anyone that has a child would shiver in rage at such sick statements, especially for a woman that have never served in war nor suffered the pain of fighting in one

Washington lawmakers have also launched two separate bills aimed at allowing the president to ban apps like TikTok on grounds they pose a risk to U.S. national security. But the bills, one in the House of Representatives and the other in the Senate, still need companion bills in the other chamber, as well as enough support to pass both houses and then President Joe Biden's signature. The White House supports the Senate bill, known as the RESTRICT Act. Considered the most likely to succeed, the Act would still likely take at least several months before it could garner enough support for a successful vote and the president's signature. It could also be weakened before it reaches Biden. Even if the RESTRICT Act is passed this year, the Commerce Department has up to six months to begin reviewing transactions with the new authorities, and up to six additional months to complete the reviews and take action.

TikTok is likely to challenge any attempt to ban the app. The company was ultimately successful in quashing Trump's effort to ban the app in the U.S. “The First Amendment protects Americans' right to access social media platforms of their choice," said Jameel Jaffer, the executive director of the Knight First Amendment Institute at Columbia University. "To justify a TikTok ban, the government would have to demonstrate that privacy and security concerns can't be addressed in narrower ways. The government hasn't demonstrated this, and we doubt it could. Restricting access to a speech platform that is used by millions of Americans every day would set a dangerous precedent for regulating our digital public sphere more broadly,"
