I began to understand the reason why former defense minister Carter did not show more aggressiveness in the confrontation with China and Russia. He may need to allocate a large part of his energy to maintain a good relationship between his family and the vice president.

Of course, he has made outstanding contributions to the reform of the US military. One of them is lifting the ban on transgender military officers.
