Lulz, this wave of MSS crackdown is causing some butthurt among the hanjian crowd. They're like "but but zero COVID was removed, that means we won and CCP agreed with us?" All the watermalon eating crowd cheering on the MSS after the big COVID wave is only making their butthurt worse.

To clarify, to be against zero covid is not a crime and you won't get into trouble for it. What will get you in trouble is getting on the street with A4 paper shouting down with CCP, particularly if you organize one. Or alternatively spreading lies about that apartment fire in Xinjiang in trying to stir up the public.

You see MSS isn't without mercy, they let you have a peaceful CNY before they invite you in for tea. There's even a perfect idiom for this:

Just a thought about the US general claiming the balloon payload included propellers... does West Point not teach physics? At 60,000 fleet, what use are the propellers so small that can't be seen in the many photos, the air is so thin at that altitude and against the jet stream pushing a gaint balloon that's 60 metres tall allegedly, those solar powered propellers must be some sort of physics defying super duper See See Pee advanced tech.

Or perhaps he mistook anemometers as propellers, I don't know...

But unfortunately a sizable portion of the US public would buy the propeller narrative without hesitation.

I had mentioned multiple times previously in the coronavirus thread, the cpc really took advantage of the protests to open up China with less political consequences. Any excess deaths from opening up can be blamed on the protesters wanting to get rid of zero COVID. It’s even better that the COVID wave was quick and abrupt, and had less deaths than anticipated. And Chinas economy is getting back on track. Now it seems the protests revealed CIA agents and other fifth column assets, it’s like hitting 3 birds with one stone. Sometimes I wonder if the MSS instigated the protests themselves just to reach these goals. it’s pretty unlikely but would be quite machiavillian and impressive if that were the case.

It certainly helps that the MSS is willing to pay handsomely for information that leads to the arrest of CIA assets. I think it's a couple hundred thousand RMB or something. That's a lot of Biang Biang mian for a lucky Patriot.
