Where's the evidence that these balloons over Hawaii Guam and others were also Chinese balloons? Or are you just taking the US word for everything?
You know what China should just cancel his trip. They sanctioned Huawei again, tried to get Japan and the Netherlands impose export controls and lied about their success (really where are the controls?), Blinken celebrated the Chinese new year without mentioning China, they made numerous very offensive statements regarding Taiwan and XJ. They have shown no evidence regarding the balloon's Chinese origin and function. This is some extreme bad faith. Unless China has some very specific and consequential message to deliver they should just cancel the trip. The USA is not coming to solve anything.
Blinken simply doesn't have the qualifications or demeanor for the job and the pettiness of the Americans is on full display. If he had any dignity he would have resigned after his humiliation in Anchorage by Yang Jiechi.
You think too much, this is a pretty basic excuse given to the press to say why there's a recon balloon there.
Of course China knew where it went. It has "limited self steering capabilities" I.e. It does in fact self steer lol.
Being a balloon means it has almost no RCS, no IR signature and most radars will possibly filter it out as white noise when it passes overhead.
American government is coming out in force to save face, but fact is if these balloons are there all the time, they wouldn't send F-22s and several large planes to intercept this specific balloon.
If not for pure dumb luck of meddling MK1 eyeballs from civilians on a plane that just happened to cross paths with it, it would still be drifting there, undetected.
US like their posturing, so if its a balloon that drifted by accident by some hobby maker, they could just triumphantly shoot it down and declare mission success. Instead, there seems to be signficant effort to capture it.
Its a small setback for China that US becomes aware of the balloon direction, but if it was sent into enemy airspace, it is clearly not meant to return, so it shouldn't carry anything too sensitive.

The Balloon wasn't sent to deny Blinken's trip, the weather balloon was sent up long ago.
Blinken's supposed Feb 5-6th trip to Beijing wasn't even announced by China on Feb 1st press briefing, i.e., it was rejected by China.
The US created this whole Balloon crisis just to save face and pretend the trip wasn't rejected by China. Since they knew their trip was cancelled, they even made up fake news on Feb 2nd to boast that Blinken was going to meet Xi.
I can't believe how many members here are falling for the fake "Chinese Spy Balloon" story. The US media would never publish incidents when real Chinese Spy Balloons fly over the continental US.
