For now, the Chinese consumer is content buying western cars, phones (mostly still made in China but that's another point). What happens when the average Chinese person is no longer infatuated with western branded products, and starts to view domestically made products as superior - as happened in Japan and Korea?

You're right it's going to lead to a significant restructuring of Chinese industry and the global economy as a whole. But I think that's going to happen eventually, how many sweatshops do you see today in Korea or Japan?

Given the current way things are going, I wouldn't want to be in the UK in the next couple of years, because not only the two nations, Russia and China are now sworn enemies of the UK due to the UK not knowing when to STFU about its past history and such, but it should know very well that the USA is a cowardly nation that will never stick up for its allies, I mean they are now looking for ways to fu@k off from Ukraine like they did in Afghanistan and all those other places they were in. So really, the UK is not in a position where many more nations then the 8 countries against China in the earlier 20th century, are going to looking at some serious payback (I am talking about the middle east, Africa and South America, all victims of colonialism) and I bet no nation is going to bother wanting to help that worthless nation.

It's not that bad, average salaries are equivalent or higher than other west European countries and thanks to the mass importing of cheap labour living costs are (were) quite low. There definitely has been a decline in living standards since 2007 and with the Ukraine war/economic self sabotage things will definitely get worse.

The British people aren't as docile as American public, the anti-COVID restriction riots were a wild time and the government quickly rescinded restrictions sooner everyone else. No one I know in the real world cares about HK/Taiwan or the Ukraine. People are okay to put up with it when the standard of living is high and it doesn't affect them but if it drops you can bet there will be people on the street calling for change.

The Vietnam war is a good example - it would be unthinkable for the UK to commit to a war like that the way the Americans did.

Her videos probably are well funded, complete with a production team, a nice wardrobe, makeup artist, and research team. She is just the face of the operation.

If it was a one man show, this is too slick, she is too pretty, it is too professional.
