On May 23, CNN and Michael McCaul accused China for not cheering after Zelensky finished his online speech to the attendees of a session in the World Economy Forum at Davos, Swiss.

CNN showed a photo taken by McCaul. The American politician claimed that he was sitting right by the "Chinese delegation" and watched the "Chinese" refusing to clap and walking off from the room.

The Chinese delegation rejected the accusation, of course. They did not even take that session because they were meeting with Fatih Birol (Executive Director of IEA) at the time. Birol's tweet also showed him taking photo with Xie Zhenhua, the top Chinese delegation.

Turns out, the "Chinese" in McCaul's photo were actually the Vietnamese delegation. In this photo released by the Vietnamese government showing the activities of their own people in Davos, you can see that the person standing up is the same guy wearing red tie in McCaul's photo.

According to this news release by VNA, this person is Le Minh Khai, deputy PM of the VN government.
