The Del Rio International Bridge, Texas Border Chaos

Thousands of illegal immigrants congregating under the Del Rio Bridge in south Texas as they waited to be processed by Border Patrol.
Some 9,000 illegal immigrants, including Haitian, Cuban, and Venezuelan nationals, were in the area.
It comes amid a surge of illegal immigrants trying to cross into the United States in recent months, which has left Border Patrol agents overwhelmed and struggling to process the sheer volume of people, particularly those who arrived in the area at the bridge. (17 September 2021)

Greece eager to attract investments from China

Greece continues to maintain close ties with China, despite EU and US concerns. Athens is eager to attract Chinese investors, who are just as keen on putting their money into Greece.

China, primarily its state-owned shipping giant COSCO, jumped into Greece when the company took over running the port of Piraeus and has been expanding it into one of the most used in the EU and one of the best after decades of mismanagement.....

In another sign that Greece wants to maintain close relations with China, Mitsotakis accepted an invitation to attend the 2022 Winter Olympics, to be held in Beijing.

Greece is the true inheritor of the legacy of Athens and Byzantium.

Greece has been the greatest success of BRI in Europe. China should keep expanding on these high-profile successes. The diplomats stationed in such countries should also be active to fend of Western-propaganda about such projects.

Italy is another possible BRI success if effort is made. However with the recent change in leadership by a Eurocrat from EU, Italy has been turning anti-China.

IMO Balkans/Eastern Europe (sans US puppets) is the ideal region for China to increase investments

Do you realize that it took a second World War, which was grander than the first one, to make such order or setup possible, under the extraordinary conditions that CONUS was undamaged at all with all the infrastructure and industrial base intact and while Asia and Europe were having severe destructions? Then this special condition was further enhanced with the WRC + Petrodollar scheme. The "alliance" is only made possible under the extraordinary circumstance. And the alliances last for it's more like vassalage relationship. When the master can still strike the vassals dare not to leave. Need a bit longer to watch.
Exactly it took a second World War to make such order possible. US paid the price and benefit immensely after from this order. So when some say "alliance are useless", it is not entirely true: CN just can't have a similar alliance network. Yes it is vassalage relationship, so? AU/JP accept that vassalage relationship. Do they also benefit from it? Certainly

Honestly, yes, I think if you follow the money things also make a lot of sense.

Today the UK also sold 2 Arrowhead 140’s to Indonesia, we want to sell our top gear abroad to create jobs at home…

The French must hate themselves to the guts that they did not sell their retired fighter jets to the Argentinians.

I am ever the optimist but I cant see how China will be getting the nod by Japan and Australia to join CPTPP

Joining isn’t the point, sending the message is. With the central message being that China is open for business.

If/when Australia vetos China’s application, China’s next move is going to turn right around and offer exactly the same deal as CPTPP to all the other members (excluding Australia), with the only condition being they withdrawn from TPP, so it’s a massive net win for everyone else to join essentially the same deal but have access to the China market under the same conditions, so you will have to be an Australian to not jump at that offer.

. And given the CCP is planning to intervene in the economy even more heavily than it has done until now, it's difficult to see China getting in.

You could always tell where someone's stands, and their intents from the way they write. How many people writes like that when it comes to China?

It's exactly the same as those anti-China western MSM.
