don't know the history of Chinese position on the dispute but the "decolonization" of Falklands is an absurd notion. Argentine claim is based on a Spanish colonial claim and Argentina is a colonial state itself - it is the Spanish equivalent of the United States. The only population that is "native" to t
Come on guys. Know your history. France was the first to "discover" the Malvinas. "Great" Britain later "re-discover" it and claimed it for itself. Argentina undee spanish rule later forced out the Brits.
So at best it's a disputed territory. Like how the west claimed daiyou and SCS is today. It's just BS to suit it's own narratives. I mean come on. By viture of distant alone we all know who Malvinas should belong to. The fact the British are playing with the "residence" wants to remain British BS. But who send those settlers there the first place?
The West also typically ignores the fact that Guam and Diego Garcia had native people on them. The Westerners just grabbed the islands and mostly either killed or ousted the original inhabitants. Argentina can do the same to the Malvinas.
China could give or sell a few DF-21 missiles to Argentina; that would take care of the UK's aircraft carrier. A few zillion drones or cruise missiles would destroy the UK's smaller warships. Someone mentioned JF-17s; with the aircraft carrier sunk, the jets should dominate the air.
In the Falklands War (in 1980s), the US gave satellite intelligence to the UK, an advantage the Argentinans didn't have. But the UK won't have that advantage again, as China's satellites are just as good.
I'm no military expert, but I would guess that Argentina's chances of recovering the Malvinas would be rather good this time. And the BBC should apologize for lying so much about China, as the Middle Kingdom can make the UK pay. (Though I expect that Britishstan will double down on the lies.)
