Maintaining blockade needs money, logistic replenishment, crew rotation, basically you are burning a cost/resource/expenditure. Also the fear of having attacked, fired upon by drones, missiles. Probably the Americans wanted to rotate crew and replenish. Free and must do actions...being constituted as a "good will" gesture...for nothing.

Their oil industry and MIC mafia may have benefitted? If the reconstruction contractors are American, then they too will benefit. Only the taxpayer is at loss.. as always.

What part of the US budget will be impacted if the US where to pay for this without additional congressional approved budget? Also how will it be approved without raising the allowed federal debt limitation?
