IPO is the new NFT
lol the market value of spacex is now apparently 2 trillion dollars. American economy is looking really healthy![]()
You do realize the "SpaceX" here is really now just xAI (Twitter/Grok) with original SpaceX tagged in for the name.Spacex has significantly better prospects than the likes of anthropic and openai with 1 trillion valuation when chinese ai is literally free and open.
US stock market has been the biggest bubble in a century and every company is pretty much a ponzy scheme right now when it comes to valuation.
I'm very curious on where it went wrong technologically, or is it just a case where systems have grown exponentially more complex where they can no longer keep up at the current level of investment? If we look at something like AAM-4, this was the first AAM with AESA seeker, but at this point the capabilities are not on par with PL-15. They also developed their FCS-3 AEGIS-alike AESA based system, but it seems like it was not that capable...They had a much more competitive technology stack in the past to be able to go largely indigenous, however many areas have not been able to keep up with the times. They are in a somewhat similar situation to the British MIC, growing increasingly reliant on American exports or multi-national collaborations to get the latest capabilities. I believe the F-1 would be the last largely indigenous Japanese fighter aircraft and they will shop for another collaborator if GCAP fails for whatever the F-3 may be, not even going the KF-21 route.
I will always remember MiniDisc. It was a defining moment of the collapse of the Japanese CE industry. I was travelling to HK and a friend of mine had asked me to pick up a top of the line MD player. It was like $500 or something like that. I tried very hard to convince him it was a waste of money, it was better to get an MP3 player. At the time you could get a Compactflash player for $300 with 256MB of memory or a cheap no name CD based player for $150 from random HK-fronted Chinese companies. A year after he told me I was right and his MD player was trash.Japan is the master of perfecting technology. Yesterday's technology. The fax machines they have now must be incredibly executed pieces of artisinal cutting-edge engineering.
SpaceX has actual ground breaking tech in terms reusable rockets. They also have starship. Starlink is also a new tech that no one else yet has. Yes China is developing it but still not there yet.You do realize the "SpaceX" here is really now just xAI (Twitter/Grok) with original SpaceX tagged in for the name.
SpaceX business is really just Starlink, actual commercial launch market hasn't grown from 10 years ago and is still trivial. Starlink itself only has 12 million subscribers globally, to put things into perspective just one of the 3 major US telecom companies (Verizon, T-Mobile and AT&T) has 140 million subscribes by itself, even in much smaller Canada each of the 3 telecom companies (Bell, Rogers and Telus) has 20 million subscribers each, so SpaceX is running on half the size of Telus (minus landline/fiber business), and Telus market cap is only $20B
Anthropic is objectively worthy more than the new "SpaceX". Anthropic might be burning massive amount of cash serving Claude with brute force compute and is f*ed in their own way, but at least Claud is actually useful and people actually do use Claude, while "SpaceX" aka xAI spends just as much on datacenters but nobody actually uses Grok.
At end of the day the only company that can at least marginally justify its valuation is Nvidia selling shovels, OpenAi, SpaceX and Anthropic are all massively money losing datacenter stocks.
US IPO or market is much more liquid because it keeps its key partners informed and deliver products what they truly they want. thats why i use word soft power for lack of better word.

missing is the bullet point that they are pressured to remilitarize. it is possible that they will be expended like the ukranians as attritables.-Shutdown nuclear production
-Phase out imported gas from Russia.
-War is threatening energy supplies from the Middle East.
-Put trade barriers on cheap Chinese clean energy technology imports.
- Still determined to phase out coal production
At what point the Germans are going to called for what it is? Is National Suicide.
Elon and his oligarch tech buddies should rebrand all their companies and merge into a single entity as MegaCorp.
SpaceX's president is floating a Tesla merger as the company begins trading
SpaceX President Gwynne Shotwell declined to rule out a future merger with Tesla $TSLA +0.99% on Friday, the day SpaceX began trading on the Nasdaq $NDAQ +2.16%, saying the two Elon Musk-led companies share overlapping goals. Speaking to CNBC, Shotwell said the two companies are heading in the same direction. "There's no question that there are synergies between Tesla and SpaceX in our futures," she said. "There's a convergence of what we're all trying to accomplish in the future."
Shotwell quipped that combining the two companies "might make Elon's life a little easier," while tempering expectations about timing. She went on to outline her current priorities: "Right now I'm focused on keeping the lights on here, keeping rockets in production, flying rockets, flying people, getting to the International Space Station, and critically providing broadband to folks that don't have access."
The comments came as SpaceX completed its IPO, raising $75 billion at a valuation of $1.77 trillion — the largest public offering on record. The company trades under the ticker SPCX. Merger speculation intensified after an amended IPO filing revealed that SpaceX may issue "significant equity" to finance future deals. Shotwell separately said that mergers and acquisitions are "in the future, especially when you look at the AI world."
The two companies already have deep commercial ties. Tesla holds a stake in SpaceX, the two are jointly developing a chip manufacturing project called Terafab, and SpaceX spent $131 million on Cybertrucks in 2025, according to SpaceX's IPO filing. As Quartz has previously reported, Tesla has sold roughly $890 million worth of vehicles and batteries to SpaceX and its subsidiary xAI since 2023. SpaceX absorbed Musk's xAI — including the Grok chatbot and the X $TWTR 0.00% social media platform — earlier this year.
Wall Street analysts are split on whether a merger would follow. At Wedbush Securities, analyst Dan Ives has argued that the odds of a Tesla-SpaceX deal closing in 2027 stand between 80% and 90%, calling the potential combination the "holy grail" of Musk's push into AI. Oppenheimer took the opposite view, saying independence between the two companies aligns better with what Musk is ultimately trying to build, even as the firm left the door open, calling a future transaction "plausible," according to Yahoo Finance.
The IPO places Musk in the position of running two publicly traded companies simultaneously. Under the terms set out in SpaceX's filing, Musk commands a supermajority of voting shares — more than 80% — and retains the right to sign off even on any board action that could result in his ouster.
These problems will increase. since it will keep wasting resources because colonized East Europeans and Turks gravitate towards Germany and this give Germany false impression about its technological power-Shutdown nuclear production

At what point the Germans are going to called for what it is? Is National Suicide.
Chancellor Angela Merkel wants to make Germany and Europe the worldwide leader in the field of artificial intelligence. "In future Germany and Europe must be the leaders in artificial intelligence," she said on 13 November 2018 in an interview with t-online.de
SpaceX isn't ground breaking, SpaceX is in a field where few people have subject level knowledge so it's easy to grift.SpaceX has actual ground breaking tech in terms reusable rockets. They also have starship. Starlink is also a new tech that no one else yet has. Yes China is developing it but still not there yet.
Compare that anthropic. What do they have? Llm model which has 10+ competitors that are actually free and open and literally the same capability?
It doesnt matter how much anthropic is used. All it takes is one line change to switch to a different model.
Even their datacenter usage is super expensive and not efficient. If you gpu data center then pick google or aws.
Anthropic and open ai are dead companies due to chinese competition.
