If the war goes hot again, will Pakistan join in on offensive action? We might see offensive use of jf-17 after all.
Pakistan join in offensive action against Iran? Iran and Pakistan are both members of SCO, at least on the open that is something extrodinary especially Pakistan would be fighting a SCO member on behalf of outsiders. That would set a precedent that Pakistan can not afford in the future. Pakistan is not US or Israel who are determined to undermine SCO. More importantly, Iran is a major supplier of oil to China, Pakistan's supply to China of meaningful materials is what? Is Pakistan going to cripple China's energy supply? It is near impossible to imagine that China would allow Pakistan to go that far using Chinese weapons. China's support isn't free to anybody.
I think all the talk of Pakistan's involvement is more of attention grabing by the media or internet personalities, western and Arabic medias stirring the shit. Of course SA will press Pakistan, but they know the limit, and pushing the limit and especially making the push go public is only to get backfired. Just think about EU and US' pressure on China of blocking Russia's access to China's supply chain, where did that go.
Lastly and most importantly the talking of Pakistan getting involved is a blackmailing of Pakistan, putting a wedge between Pakistan and Iran, between Pakistan and China, a insidious play. It is the same trick that some Arab country and US proposed the UNSC resolutions to "open" the Hulmuz straight without going to the root cause of its closure. Demanding Pakistan's action without asking why SA allowed US attacking Iran from military bases in SA.
