Things like fortune cookies and fried spring rolls? We Chinese would never serve those at a proper formal banquet. Only hillbillies would eat stuff like that. Maybe JD Vance would be more convincing to judge—he’s a real hillbilly. Too bad he can’t be here.

IIRC it was invented by Japanese-American. However during WW2 when they were interned Chinese-American decided to corner that market and it became associated with Chinese-American food since then.

A country with a population of merely 150 million is always living under the delusion that it’s still in the era of Ivan the Terrible. In truth, it’s just an empty vodka glass bottle good only for holding urine, yet it still keeps a fancy label on the outside, pretending to be an unfinished bottle of fine liquor.

But they could become more like Vietnam or Pakistan.

Take off your rose-colored glasses. Have you ever lived in Russia or a country under Russian influence? There's no talk of any technology here. Just look at the state of robotics, AI, and internet infrastructure—it's at the very least like it was in the early 2000s. Russian is my native language, and I read, communicate, and personally witness the economic horror unfolding within Russia. This country can't even provide for itself without China, let alone Korea.
