It’s funny how the overall humanoid robot debate has been going. Ironic where Optimus was seen as the bar everyone had to follow but now Elon is not revealing the latest Optimus prototype because he says everyone is stealing his ideas but most likely the reality is his delay is because Optimus is behind in development in light of everyone else’s “progress”. He’s afraid Optimus will be underwhelming. It’s like how Trump has stopped making predictions on when his Iran War will end because he’s been wrong so many times because reality doesn’t work the way he thinks.

Look at how Optimus is no longer seen as the top robot model since Atlas at CES that does not operate like a human exactly which has been the goal. Then you have the West basically only in competition with themselves because their developments are slow compared to China’s. The only way they can spin they’re ahead of China is making it all about how close the hands are to how the human hands work. With the way they criticize Chinese robot development, they would be happy to just have a robotic Addams Family “Thing” hand walking around on its fingertips or just flopping around on the floor and the rest is not important.

But we know they’re coping over China which is the White Elephant in the room. You gotta have a body to put that hand on and the West is no where close to China in that development. A Western robotic hand is going to cost tens of thousands of dollars each. As much as an entire Chinese robot. Look at how many times robots fall over. The hands are most likely going to take most of the hits falling to the ground. That’s where the rest of the body comes in and they’re mocking what China is doing in that area because they think the hand is most important. And you know China is working on hands too… They’re the only ones making it all about the hands.

Western robotics development is going on like their goals in artificial intelligence. All they concentrate on is to make AI replicate humans’ exactly. In the meanwhile China is making all the money in applying AI for commercial purposes. The West brags that they have the most powerful semiconductors… but you don’t need them to do everything. That’s how the robotics industry is going to go too.

I don't recall there was ever a point where Optimus was seen as the top robot, Boston Dynamics had been for a while, then Unitree, Optimus was always the butt of a joke, especially after their tele-operated event.

Trump to impose (25%) tariffs on cars, trucks from European Union

President Trump announced on Friday that he is increasing tariffs on the European Union, accusing the bloc of not complying with their trade deal with the U.S.

In a TruthSocial post, Trump said starting next week he will increase the tariffs on cars and trucks coming into the U.S. from the E.U. to 25 percent.

“It is fully understood and agreed that, if they produce Cars and Trucks in U.S.A. Plants, there will be NO TARIFF,” Trump wrote.
“Many Automobile and Truck Plants are currently under construction, with over 100 Billion Dollars being invested, A RECORD in the History of Car and Truck Manufacturing,” he continued.

“These Plants, staffed with American Workers, will be opening soon – There has never been anything like what is happening in America today!” he said.

Trump and E.U. Commission President Ursula von der Leyen announced a trade deal last July setting tariffs at 15 percent for European goods. The E.U. also agreed to purchase $750 billion worth of energy from the U.S. as part of that deal.

The agreement was notably lower than a 30-percent tariff the president had threatened for the E.U. and avoided a trade war between the two sides.

In February, E.U. leaders said that they will not accept an increase in U.S. tariffs in the wake of a Supreme Court ruling against some of Trump’s most wide ranging tariffs.

The new tariffs comed against the backdrop of the Iran war, which has led to increased tensions between the U.S. and several European countries.

Trump has repeatedly criticized European members of NATO for not helping the U.S. effort against Iran, while European nations have refused to allow the U.S. to use their air space at variously points in the conflict.
Trump said starting next week he will increase the tariffs on cars and trucks coming into the U.S. from the E.U. to 25 percent.

The implicit messaging to white beta male incels who are needed for future wars against China is that Anglo American hegemony over east Asia is the only solution to their Inceldom. The fantasy of having East Asian sex slaves is about the same level as Indian rape fantasies of Albanian women in corporate America.
Maybe the guys in China who are developing AI sex bots today are preventing war with the US in the future! The Chinese government should flood the US market with these so they can be sold at bargain basement rates!
