Not really, MALE drones are fairly vulnerable to any sort of obsolete medium to high altitude air defense system.

It doesn't matter if you're a WL-2 or MQ-9, you're going to get smacked down by similar systems.
I think you misunderstood his point — he is not bashing WL-2 but saying that Chinese weapons have a tendency of being used by “evil” operators like RSF and Myanmar regime.

I understand, I'm saying it doesn't particularly matter because no matter which side they're on, they are going to be fairly easily defeated by any medium altitude air defense system from the last 4 decades if operating in isolation unsupported

Regardless of which side you're on, I think we can all agree that this win for Trump will only further embolden him when it comes to kinetic — and potentially reckless — next steps against Iran.

U.S. Announcement U.S. Air Force Pararescuemen (PJs) are currently conducting an operation to rescue the last remaining F-15 pilot inside Iranian territory. HH-60 Pave Hawk helicopters are currently in the airspace over Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari provinces, with ongoing fierce clashes in the area.

This is concerning for Iran that US air assets can move rather freely without much resistance all the way into Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari province which is behind Khuzestan. Khuzestan has majority of Iran's oil & gas.

Trump doesn't need an incentive to go further. he has no choice. it is Netenyahu that determines the tempo. Trump can only follow.
Speaking of which is there decent at least attempted OSINT coverage anywhere of what's been going on between Israel-Iran militarily?

I'm saying chinese weapons have had a recent history of being used by dubious operators, such as the RSF, Myanmar and now the UAE arguably on the aggressor side. Which is frankly just a result of the hands-off policy with acquiring chinese weapons. Ends up catering to these kinds of actors
The only and probably the most important thing about a drone is you don’t waste a pilot if it goes down… unless you listen to the likes of Palmer Lucky.
