Remember that we're dealing with a country with:
- More than 20% of the population being illiterate
- More than 50% of the population with comprehension levels no higher than Grade 6
- Heavy emphasis on "Happy Go Lucky" Education (快乐教育) with "no losers" (i.e. everyone's a winner)
- Believes that they are the "Chosen People of God" (Manifest Destiny) to lord over the entire world
All of which have been buffed to unimaginable levels by the collapse of the USSR + Believing that there will never be any credible opponent to appear forever (End of History).


TL; DR - Nobody has ever said "No" to them for so long, and they got too used to it, such that they would get absolutely infuriated and exasperated when others started to merely say "No" to their demands.

As the article said, the LNG are from Russia and sold at 2 to 3 times purchasing price. It does two things, 1st let Japan to finance Russia's war against Ukraine, 2nd China makes profit out of nothing. The same arrangement can be done to Iran.

I don't see why China should stop doing it.

It would be ironic if Japan buys Iranian oil and gas through China, that would make Japan financing Iran fighting US. :D
